Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about getting started with Byteback

Currently, Byteback supports Solana. We plan to expand support to Ethereum and additional networks in the future to provide more flexibility for creators and supporters.

Yes. Supporters can send tips using any token. To protect creators from price volatility, all incoming tokens are automatically swapped into USDC before being delivered to the recipient’s wallet.

Byteback charges a 1% service fee on each tip. In addition, small network and swap fees apply, typically less than $0.0001. If your connected wallet does not already have a USDC Associated Token Account (ATA), a one-time creation cost will be deducted. This cost is fully refundable if you later close the ATA.

Yes. Supporters can choose to remain anonymous when sending a tip. While the blockchain transaction will still record the sender’s wallet address, Byteback’s interface will not display it if anonymity is selected.

Tips are delivered instantly. Since Byteback is non-custodial, there is no waiting period or withdrawal process—funds go directly from the supporter’s wallet to the creator’s connected wallet.

No complicated setup is required. Creators simply connect their wallet and add the Byteback button or page. There’s no need to run servers or manage additional infrastructure.

Byteback never holds your funds. All tips flow directly between wallets using audited smart contracts. As a non-custodial service, your private keys always remain under your control.
